AWX are currently looking for Heavy commercial Vehicle Mechanics & Mechanical Fitters for one of their Government clients based in Rockhampton for an immediate start.

The role requirements of a Heavy vehicle mechanic AND Mechanical Fitters will be:

- Undertaking mechanical maintenance activities in both a workshop and field environment ensuring equipment is kept in safe and reliable condition
- Diagnostics and repairs, maintenance works on trucks, trailers and earthmoving equipment
-attend breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs
- Perform non structural fabrication and welding activities
- Completion of accurate and timely verbal and written communications
- Adherence to policies, procedures and instruction

Mandatory requirements Include:

- Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical AND OR Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter
- Participation in an after hours call out roster IF required
- Able to travel to other site locations to undertake workshop or Field service activities for varying periods of time
- Must have a Current Valid C Class drivers licence
- MR licence highly desirable or willing to obtain
- Construction White card
