About the Role
AWX are looking for Street Cleansers to work in casual roles for Local Councils. AWX have roles available for both Street Sweeper Truck Drivers and Street Cleaners without licences.
All positions will be M-F with the potential for weekend overtime. AWX have roles available currently in Alexandria and Greenacre.
Street Sweeper Operator duties may involve:
- Operation of Rear/Side Load garbage compactors, street sweepers, brush cutters and blowers
- Removal of dumped rubbish
- Daily maintenance of plant to ensure safe and efficient operation
Street Cleaner duties may involve:
- Operate a range of equipment including Whipper-Snippers, Hand-Blowers and other small plant.
- Cleaning of pollution control equipment, such as River Booms, Pollution traps and Storm-water Pits.
- Litter Collection, weed collection, removal of dumped rubbish and dead animals.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Experience working in a Team Environment
- Knowledge of street cleansing activities
- Be punctual and willing to work
- MR or HR Licence for Street Sweeping Truck roles
