“When I started at Curragh mine, my car was in the shop so I didn't have a car to get out to site for my first swing. Jess drove me out there and dropped me off and came back to pick me up at the end of my swing.”

    THIS COULD BE YOU

    WHAT YOU'LL GET

You're in good hands, we promise. We've got your back from start to finish.

    We're the real deal

We go above and beyond to support you. Whether it's a chat about the footy or a lift to site. Get in touch, you’ll always hear from us (even if it’s to let you know we’re onto it!).

    Backed every step

We'll look after you, no matter what. We're by your side, meeting you at site with your PPE or there to have a yarn when you’re settled in.

    No hidden agenda

We keep it real - we’re upfront transparent with our communication and will walk you through everything - your contract, getting started on-site and payroll.

    The best of both worlds

We'll bring you our expertise, we know our stuff - plus we treat you more like a mate than an employee.

    No problem is too big

Every challenge has a solution, that’s how we roll. From recruitment to onboarding and mobilisation to payroll and your time on site.

    What can you expect?

    • 1. Apply, screen, interview

We’ll check out your application and be in touch. If you tick all of the boxes, we’ll do a formal interview and chat about any other roles that might be suitable. This will likely be via phone as most people looking for mining work aren’t local to our offices, we know the drill.

    • 2. Congrats, you're in

We’ll call to let you know you’ve been successful, chat through the next steps and what you can expect with mobilisation and getting to site. We’ll take you through your contract so you’re comfy with it all too.

    • 3. Mobilisation

If you’re new to the mines, this process can take 6 – 8 weeks whereas if you have all your documentation, it can be much quicker. This is where you’ll supply docs (Standard 11, Coal Board Medical, tickets, licenses etc.) as well as do your AWX online registration and induction (if not already done prior to being approved for the role).

    • 4. Finalised

We’ll then get your confirmed start date and we'll be in touch with all the details so you know where to be and when – camp, on-site, transport, meals, the lot! I'll meet you at site with your PPE. We’ll have a chat about where things are, which bus to get on and any other questions you might have.

    • 5. First day

We’ll be there when your bus arrives on your first shift - then we'll head to pre-start where you’ll find out about where you'll be working that day, any hazards and incidents recently identified as well as any other key information such as weather etc. Typically, after pre-start, we’ll intro you to your supervisor and trainer who will support you and help you to navigate your first few days on site.
