AWX were awarded the RoadTek in March 2016 to transition Blue Collar personnel within Trades, Operations and Labouring for Projects for RoadTek (Queensland wide).
After the successful transition of 170 employees within a 3 week timeframe, AWX has continued to support the recruitment requirements for metro and regional areas within Queensland. The success of this contract was also based on AWX and Roadtek having aligned values in their commitment to safety, focussed on community needs and dedicated to building a sustainable future.
Following commencement of RoadTek contract, AWX was also engaged to supply staff to DAF (Department of Agriculture and Fisheries), across Queensland. AWX transitioned white collar personnel within Technical, Operational and Professional positions (i.e Laboratory Technicians, Research Assistants and Biologists). The transition of over 120 personnel within a short time frame for DAF, opened the door for Biosecurity Queensland, to engage AWX to supply further personnel for the large Fire Ant project across Brisbane and Electrical Ant project in Cairns.
Process:
Our designated, local Account Managers promptly met with all RoadTek, DAF Project Managers and transitioning staff to discuss the implementation and induction procedures. AWX worked hard to ensure RoadTek & DAF staff felt secure throughout the transition & on boarding process. AWX worked on a 3 step process to ensure thorough communication;
AWX worked with pour clients to make the process as simple as possible for personnel to ensure they understood the process. Each designated local AWX Account Manager was in constant contact to ensure any issues were addressed in a timely manner. Thorough Safety Audits were also conducted at every site.

The hiring of staff was conducted thorough the provision of interviews with resumes and reference checks for each candidate submitted to the accountable Project Manager. His or her approval then underwent the on boarding process.
Outcome:
AWX had over 1000 local employees, with full co-ordination through our network of offices to ensure large ramp up could occur easily for the additional staff requested with a local presence in each region.
